FIRST WEEK SUCCESS!!
As of 12:05pm today, i officially made it through my first week of law school. Honestly, last Friday I wasn’t sure I would make it to this point. At the school I’m attending we were overwhelmed with information in our orientation week. Processes, forms, assignments, q&a sessions, bbqs - the list goes on! I really was unsure if I was ready OR able to do this.
I can safely say I’m o.k.
Is law school still scary? Hell yes!
Can I do it? Hell yes!
I had a class yesterday where the professor was talking about just doing the best YOU can do. One of his classmates graduated dead last in their class. He was a very successful lawyer and now sits as a judge. Being a good student does not equate with being a good lawyer. I have to keep remembering that just because this is hardwork and is confusing at times doesn’t mean I can’t do it. I am perfectly capable of doing my best and whatever that is, is enough for me!!
With that said - thank god it’s friday. While I won’t get to escape from reading and briefing this week - at least I will be in the comfort of my own home all weekend and don’t have to worry about going to class and then anxiety attached to that - not until monday at least…
